KH6WO Beacon Upgraded – In early October the KH6WO beacon located at BYU Laie, Oahu, Hawaii was upgraded, adding WARC frequencies 18.110 and 24.930 MHz to its transmitting beacon. KH6WO trustee John Peters, K1ER/KH6, KH6BZF, and K7IHI assisted in reprogramming the Northern California DX Foundation controller driving a TS-50 transmitter, adding these WARC frequrncies to the exiisting beacon frequencies of 14.110, 21.150, and 28.200 MHz in FCC compliance. The Honolulu ARC is the owner of KH6WO and maintains this beacon.

W1GMW Special Event – The Green Mountain Wireless Society will hold a special event on December 10 from 1200– 2400Z from Rutland, Vermont, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the club’s founding. W2W Pearl Harbor Day Special Event – The Historical Electronics Museum ARC will commemorate the invasion of Pearl Harbor with a special event station on December 4 & 5 from 1400–2200Z near 7.241, 14.241, 21.241, and 3.592 MHz. Certificate for QSL and two stamps. Send to HEMARC, P.O. Box 1693, MS 4015, Baltimore, MD 21203.

W4NC Special Event – The Forsyth ARC will operate from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, from 1200–220Z on December 17 in celebration of the 75th birthday of the club. Using vintage stations on AM and CW, they will be on SSB 21.320, 14.270, 7.250; CW 21.050, 14.050, 7.050; AM 7.285–95; all ±20 kHz. For original 1930 W4NC QSL card and/or certificate send QSL and SASE to Ed Swiderski, KU4BP, 2105D Fiddlers Court, Winston-Salem, NC 27107, or via the bureau.

KC5OUR Special Event Station – The Valencia County ARA will celebrate Christmas from Bethlehem, New Mexico from 1400Z December 17 through 2300Z December 25 on 7.273, 14.273, 21.373, and 28.373 MHz. For QSL send QSL and SASE to VCARA, P.O. Box 268, Peralta, NM 87042.
