Announcements Amateur Radio Lighthouse Society Contest – The ARLHS Pan-American Lighthouse-Lightship Weekend contest will be August 2–3 in conjunction with National Lighthouse Week to celebrate the lighthouses and lightships of North, Central, and South America and includes participation by light beacons around the world. NARTE Net – The National Association of Radio Telecommunications Engineers, in affiliation with the ARRL, has registered an HF amateur radio net called The NARTE Net. Sessions open a forum for the common interests of ARRL members and NARTE certified professionals. All hams are welcome to check in. Times: Saturdays at 1700Z and Sundays at 2100Z both days on 18.1400 MHz. W7BX/7J1ABV Memorial Award – The Tokyo International ARA is accepting nominations for its first W. Sandy Lynch (W7BX and 7J1ABV) Memorial Award. It will presented each year to one licensed amateur radio operator in the world who exemplifies Lynch’s dedication to the hobby. Criteria include enthusiastic participation in a radio club, bridging international cultures, involvement in education or Elmering, being active on the air, enthusiasm for new technology, and fraternity.
